Made Where ("we", "our", or "the app") is a barcode-scanning app that shows you the country of origin for products. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have—including your rights under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws.

Scan history is stored only on your device (Room database). We do not upload your scan history to any server.
Free users see ads served by Appodeal and its mediation partners. If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, the app will display Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form on first launch. You can choose to allow personalised ads (based on your interests) or only contextual ads (not personalised). You may change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy inside the app.
Subscribers who have purchased a premium plan do not see any ads.
Appodeal mediates ads from multiple networks. Each network operates under its own privacy policy. Networks currently integrated include (but are not limited to):

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchase tokens are used only to verify subscription status. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

Because scan history is stored only on your device, you can exercise erasure and portability for that data entirely within the app (History screen → clear / export). For data held by third-party SDKs, please contact those parties directly using the links in §4.
Made Where is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Some third-party services (e.g. Google Firebase, Appodeal ad networks) may transfer data outside the EU/EEA. These transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms as described in each provider's privacy policy.
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. Scan history never leaves your device. Ad-related data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections to third-party SDKs.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
